Part of Helping Hand Aged Care
At Port Pirie in Halliday Street, our units have car parking facilities and are ideal for low maintenance living. There are opportunities to participate in crafts, social outings, regular bus trips, games, concerts and bowls. There’s a residential aged care facility on site, giving our retirees peace of mind knowing that aged care services are close by when needed.
Helping Hand’s Independent Living Units are designed for residents who are still able to live independently, however prefer daily tasks such as laundry, meal preparation and laundry to be taken care of for them.
Residents at our independent living units are welcome to use the common facilities and participate in social activities at our nearby residential aged care facility, located in the same street in Port Pirie. This also offers peace of mind knowing that additional aged care services are nearby if needed.
When you live in a Helping Hand retirement village, you’ll find a home offering you safety, security with maximum privacy and independence.
At Helping Hand, we place our residents and their care at the core of everything we do. This is achieved through our service of care ethos, which includes being connected, personalised, considerate and caring.
We believe that it’s important for our residents to be actively engaged in our community, including with our staff and volunteers, to create a warm, welcoming environment.
We also make sure that our care is personalised for every individual who is a resident with us, by delivering excellence in care that suit everyone’s individual needs.
