Dedicated Staff Assignment
Our relationship-focused approach to celebrating and supporting old age is not only unique to Arcare, it’s also considered by aged care experts globally to be at the forefront of elder-care.
One of the most important ways of supporting the development of these relationships is our internationally recognised Dedicated Staff Assignment, which we won a 2015 Better Practice Award from the Australian Aged Quality Agency.
Arcare’s Dedicated Staff Assignment involves all staff committing to work regular shifts with exactly the same small group of residents every time they come to work.

Arcare Logan Reserve residents enjoyed a great International Women’s Day celebration. With speeches from resident Beverley Cameron, who was a Country Women's Association (CWA) Volunteer, about this year’s campaign of embracing equity and what the CWA is about, and how they helped her and countless other women. Arcare Logan Reserve’s very own children’s book author, Linda Woodward, also shared a speech she wrote about women’s suffrages.
Arcare communities across Australia showcased their talent, creativity, and individual flare in Arcare’s third annual Card Art competition. Residents from across Arcare’s 47 aged care residences in New South Wales, Queensland, and Victoria, were encouraged to create original card designs to be included in Arcare’s greeting card range for 2022-2023.
It was an endless day of EKKA fun at Arcare Logan Reserve, Parkinson and Seven Hills as the residents enjoyed Strawberry Sundaes, Dagwood dogs, showbags, lollies, and even carnival games such as Spin the Wheel and Ball Toss.
To celebrate Aged Care Employee Day, Arcare Aged Care hosted events across their 47 aged care residences in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria by recognising long service team members and announcing the inaugural Star Awards nominations.
The Arcare Logan Reserve community celebrated their first birthday since opening in 2021. Residents and team members gathered for a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party complete with decorations, costumes, an extravagant cake, nibbles and speeches. First residents Shirley and Neil Parsons also got to cut the cake to kick off the celebrations.
