In our specially designed memory support environment our highly trained team applies an innovative approach to meeting the needs of residents. Homewood also offers respite care as an alternative to permanent aged care.
Homewood offers respite care in both our mainstream and memory support areas as an alternative to permanent care. The level of room available for your respite stay will be dependent upon availability. All rooms incorporate the latest features to ensure your safety and comfort including a wall-mounted television, telephone connections (service fees may apply), emergency call buttons, height-adjustable beds, and bedside tables. For your peace of mind, TLC Aged Care Hallam is secured by a state-of-the-art security system, and CCTV monitors all common areas.
Our extra services – ‘Gold Privileges’ – area is designed to cater to the discerning resident. Our Gold Privileges rooms feature a combined living/bedroom area bathed in natural light, a built-in wardrobe, the highest quality interior-designed furnishings and window dressings, and a spacious modern bathroom with a built-in vanity unit, and easy access shower and toilet. You also have the flexibility to incorporate your own furniture into the decor to make the room your very own.
Our Gold Privileges rooms also offer exclusive facilities and services such as an expanded choice of meals, including hot breakfast in bed, a choice of beer, wine, or soft drinks with your main meals, BBQs, special occasion meals, and happy hours, and convenient access to the on site TLC Medical Centre, hydrotherapy pool, gym, and TLC Wellbeing centre and library. The extra services fee is applicable to this room type and does not vary depending upon your use of a particular service or facility.

TLC CEO Lou Pascuzzi has announced today there is no reason aged care homes cannot provide 24/7 nursing staff to care for their residents. “We certainly didn’t have to wait for a Royal Commission to tell us we needed 24/7 registered nursing staff. We’ve had Registered Nurses (RN’s) on staff 24/7 since the inception of the company. We see it as being clinically necessary when providing this level of care to our residents."
Melbourne-based aged care provider, TLC Aged Care, has announced that all visitors to their aged care homes will be required to take a rapid COVID-19 test and return a negative result before entry.
TLC Aged Care is the first residential aged care provider of its size to complete the vaccination of their 1,500 residents, and 2,000 staff and contractors against COVID-19.

Margaret Boyd recently celebrated her 100th birthday surrounded by her family and friends at TLC Aged Care Homewood in Hallam. When seeing the large crowd gathered to celebrate her milestone, Margaret said, “If you do all this for the naughty girls I can only imagine what you do for the good girls!”
