The first stage of the two-year, $46.5 million transformation of Resthaven Westbourne Park, is now complete. Based on the innovative ‘small house’ aged care model, the major redevelopment provides a more homely and personalised environment for the 121 residents who reside at the home.

There is a wide range of activities: current affairs, creative arts, movies and interactive visits from school groups as part of our intergenerational program. More intimate areas are available for a family gathering or to sit and read a book from our library.

Mrs Helen Doley was no stranger to Resthaven Westbourne Park when she became a resident four months ago, after dedicating 26 years volunteering at the home, and a combined total of 79 years volunteering across various charities.

Nolton Park’s therapy horses are back, and this time, to visit residents at Resthaven Westbourne Park. These gentle miniature horses are trained to visit aged care sites, hospitals, palliative care, and Ronald McDonald House, providing adults and children with a healing interaction.
