After cutting the hair of Resthaven residents and clients for 45 years, Jan Beattie says it’s the relationships that matter most. A former salon owner, Jan clearly remembers the day she walked into the aged care home to enquire about work.

Happy 100th birthday to Mrs Aileen Hart, who celebrated her milestone on 4 January 2024, in her home at Resthaven Malvern. Mrs Hart’s daughter, Julie, says, "Mum was an only child, born and raised in Woodville, and went to the local school there."

Mrs Ruth Osborn came into this world in dramatic fashion 100 years ago, and she is still going strong. Sitting in her elegant room at Resthaven Malvern, Ruth says, "I was born in Riverton Nursing Home at 3am on 10 August, 1921, on the coldest night of the year."
