Sandringham Grove Care Community (formerly BlueCross Karinya Grove) is nestled in a peaceful street, just two kilometres from Westfield Southland with convenient access to public transport, shops, and amenities at our doorstep.
A key feature is its unique design that focuses on natural light and space. Our Care Community is set out into small zones over two levels. Each zone features a living room, lounge area, dining room and access to outdoor gardens or terraces, providing residents with a feeling of community and more intimate living.
The main reception adjoins a large café with 180-degree views over the beautiful gardens. There are also many communal spaces for you to participate in daily activities or catch up with family and friends.

Each room has two height adjustable beds, built-in wardrobes, bedside tables, lounge chairs, ceiling fan and hydronic heating, wall-mounted flat screen television and a shared ensuite.

My mum entered Karinya Grove yesterday. The facility is amazing and the staff very friendly, they offer excellent activities and social outings, you can see they strive to provide a superior service, while still ensuring it is homely and comfortable. Mum will take some time to settle, the staff has been so attentive and doing everything they can to make her feel welcome. My first meeting was with Ian Thomas the Client Services Manager, my impression was that he had been working in aged care for many years, he made the entire process as easy as possible for me, keeping in regular contact with updates on what was available for my mum and explaining the things we needed to do, he made time to sit with the rest of my family and explain the process, he invited my mum to visit and he walked around with her to explain all the things she could be part of, he introduced each staff member to mum including Jill Peterkin the Residence Manager, who also spent some time with mum to make her welcome. He gave mum the time and information that she needed to understand what was going to happen and even talked about her feelings to ensure she knew that what she was feeling was validated My family and I really appreciate his knowledge and empathy. Ian, Jill and the staff at Karinya Grove have made what is a dramatic change for an older person and their family into a more positive experience. We cannot thank you enough.

My parents relocated to Karinya Grove a month ago, and we have been delighted with everything about the centre. The facilities are of an extremely high standard, and the staff are wonderful. Mum and Dad have settled in very well and have made their large, sunny room into a home. It has made a real difference to be able to decorate the room to suit them and, as the room is very large, they have a very comfortable living environment. The facilities are top class, and the activities and services on offer are excellent. Mum and Dad have been made to feel very welcome and we are delighted by how well they are doing. Ian made the entire process as easy as possible, and we appreciate his real understanding of, and empathy with, the process of accessing aged care. He and his staff have made what could have been a very traumatic experience, into something better than we ever expected.
