Located in Chelsea with Bicentennial Park at its doorstep, Chelsea Parkside Care Community (formally BlueCross Gardenia) is a delightful residence surrounded by lush greenery.
Our Care Community comprises two wings, each featuring light-filled lounge and dining rooms. Outdoors offers landscaped gardens and a large central courtyard with a gazebo, where you can relax in the sunshine or shade, enjoy barbecues, or spend time with other residents and visitors.
To the east, you will find the walking paths of Bicentennial Park and the wetlands, which provide ample opportunity for bird watching. The tranquil setting of this residence makes it a charming and comfortable place to call home.
STANDARD TWIN SHARE ROOM - Shared room + shared ensuite; maximum occupancy – 2 people. Size: 21.3 m2 excluding ensuite. Standard Twin Share rooms at BlueCross Gardenia are located in the West Wing. These large rooms accommodate two persons and may suit couples. They offer a window for natural light, plus there is room for you to bring some of your treasured memorabilia to display. The rooms have for each person a height adjustable single bed, a bedside table, a dining chair, over-bed table, a built-in wardrobe, connection points for telephone and television, a wall-mounted flat screen television, ceiling fan and hydronic heating. These rooms have a shared ensuite.

There is ample room for your cherished possessions such as an armchair or dressing table and other memorabilia. The rooms have the same furnishings as a Standard Single Share room. Some rooms have interconnecting doors and may be suitable for couples.

SUPERIOR ROOM - Single room + private ensuite; maximum occupancy – 1 person. Size: 15–16.1 m2 excluding ensuite. Superior rooms at BlueCross Gardenia are located in the East Wing and offer all the amenities and furnishings of a Standard Private room. These rooms feature a view to either the internal courtyards or boundary gardens. Some offer private access to the courtyards, while others also offer views to the netball courts opposite.

My mother has been living at Blue Cross Gardenia for 3 years now. She suffers from dementia and gets a bit agitated at times because she doesn’t remember where she is. I can’t speak highly enough of the caring staff working there. They can calm her down when I can’t. They are very understanding and caring and never get impatient with her. The Lifestyle staff also know how to get her laughing and I can definitely recommend Blue Cross Gardenia to anyone who is going through the highly emotional task of finding a good and reputable aged care facility.
The Management and Staff at Gardenia were impeccable in assisting my father to settle into his new style of living after living alone for 30 years. A big thank you to Ian Thomas and Kirsteen Mac enzie for their excellent work during my fathers transition period......

In approximately June this year and subject to regulatory approvals, ownership of BlueCross’ 31 Aged Care Residences and its Home Care services will be transferred to Opal HealthCare.
