My husband recently enjoyed staying at St Ives Murdoch as a Respite (temporary) resident. Absolutely everything - from the constant care provided by staff, his gorgeous big room, the 'hotel' like common rooms and al fresco area looking out over the huge parklands, the wonderful and plentiful food - were all so much more than we ever expected. A number of family members visited and were also equally impressed. We could not fault a single thing. We were also very impressed and grateful for all the support the whole team - from nurses, the doctors, the personal carers, the management, kitchen staff...everyone! - gave us during a difficult time. Yes, the facility is first class, but what really counts is the genuine desire to care for residents first and foremost in a very professional way. We were ALWAYS greeted with happy, smiling faces, even though my husband's recent illness meant he was challenging to manage. Thank you to all at St Ives Murdoch. With my husband's dementia, he doesn't remember much. But his face lights up when we mention St Ives Murdoch!
In approximately June this year and subject to regulatory approvals, ownership of BlueCross’ 31 Aged Care Residences and its Home Care services will be transferred to Opal HealthCare.
