Tallwoods was a great choice for our family when we needed to place my father in respite care while mum had major back surgery. We recognised that a place for respite for five weeks, during a Covid wave, would be difficult and challenging to find. However, Tallwoods had a vacancy and was a great choice. From the first phone call enquiry I felt sure this would be a suitable place. The receptionist was helpful, kind and welcoming and amazingly always remembered who I was. This attitude and attention to detail was evident in everyone we had contact with. The nursing staff looked after Dad kindly and showed interest in him as a person. Having a dedicated staff member to work with the patient’s welfare was a great service and helped Dad to settle in. The centre is quite small which helps it to feel very personal. Dad also enjoyed having the same staff attend to him on each shift as they got to know him and his needs. We would recommend Tallwoods as a great choice for Aged Care.

I found all staff at Tallwoods Corner Aged Care from Reception, to the Clinical Team, The Lifestyle Team, The Kitchen, The Laundry ,to be efficient, kind, compassionate caring and willing to give guidance to residents and their families

I have used Tallwood 3 times now for respite for my mother. It is nice to be able to put my mother in to respite with the reassurance that she is going to be looked after well. They do not have a large turnover of staff like allot of other facilities, so each time mum has respite she is in a facility with familiar faces of the people caring for her. Even in these difficult times with Covid all of the staff from the management to all of the of the other staff, they are all happy, friendly and compassionate. I would highly recommend Tallwoods .

Tallwoods Corner Aged Care offered our mother Patricia and family wonderful caring service. The culture of the whole home with staff is warm, respectful and genuine. We would like to thank each and every one of the Tallwoods Team for the exceptional care and compassion shown to our mother while she was in your care. Our mother was very happy there and also said the staff were wonderful.

My parents moved into Tallwoods in 2011. My father died within the year; my mother became a permanent feature for 7 years until she died in 2018. I could not have asked for better care of either of them. All of the staff, from the laundry and kitchen staff to the AINs to the RNs to the management team, genuinely cared about my parents, and about all of the other residents. They all went beyond their job descriptions to care for everyone. We were always made to feel welcome whenever we visited. If my mother had a fall or even a graze, an RN would always call me to let me know. All problems were resolved to our satisfaction. The only serious problem was rectified. I have no hesitation in recommending Tallwoods to anyone who needs care.

I just wanted you to know that Dave was very happy at Tallwood's for 3 years, thanks to many of your staff who were amazing with him, in particular, jenny the D.O.N, Renata, Dawn & Lilly, sister Dot & Anne and others to. They were very supportive and helpful for David and us in his final days.

Opal HealthCare Set to Expand with Acquisition of BlueCross Aged Care and Home Care Services

In approximately June this year and subject to regulatory approvals, ownership of BlueCross’ 31 Aged Care Residences and its Home Care services will be transferred to Opal HealthCare.
