Each room is well-appointed with a flat-screen television, telephone connection, hydronic heating and ceiling fan. Rooms also have easy access to pristine courtyards and terraces overlooking the Dandenong Ranges or local streetscapes. Some rooms have private access to balconies and courtyards.

The recently erected building features the latest in architecture and design, complemented by modern yet homely interiors, in keeping with the graceful lines of the early twentieth century. There is a choice of multiple communal sitting areas that can accommodate large gathering or intimate groups sharing a cup of tea. The Men’s Shed is a popular hang-out for the handy-man enthusiast or retired tradesman, while the Beauty Parlour offers female residents the convenience of an onsite hairdresser.

Lifestyle

The multi-purpose room accommodates a range of activities with its large movie-style screen and an in-built bar for happy hour! The Calais Club is where gentlemen can share stories of their favourite Holden or Bentley, or discuss the finer points of carpentry.

Green thumbs are encouraged to tend our blooming garden beds, filled with roses, camellias and maples. A veggie patch is also being planted.

Resident’s and their families can enjoy BBQs, leisure time and special occasions in the stylish pavilion.

The leisure and lifestyle program is full of a diverse range of activities to meet each individual’s specific needs. Family consultations occur regularly to ensure the person-centred values of Beradine are being met.

The resident chef prepares nutritious meals onsite in consultation with dietary experts. For special occasions such as birthday parties or anniversaries, residents and their families can enjoy the fine dining experience from our special dining room, which seats up to 10.

Short term stays are offered for those seeking planned respite care.

Opal HealthCare Set to Expand with Acquisition of BlueCross Aged Care and Home Care Services

In approximately June this year and subject to regulatory approvals, ownership of BlueCross’ 31 Aged Care Residences and its Home Care services will be transferred to Opal HealthCare.
