My father has lived at Strath-Haven for ten months. The transition into aged care was a difficult one for my father as his personal health, mobility and independence declined. I have found Strath- Haven Manager Marlene as our first contact, Case Manager Julie, Receptionist Anne, and nursing staff including Sandra and Cindy, to be friendly, professional, open and available for my father and I around his medical and personal issues. These issues have included his reduced mobility, pain control, furniture placement, information technology access, medical care, diet, and more personal issues around his health. At all times, I have been able to make contact to discuss his welfare and have any questions answered. I have received phone calls at times of medical concern, and have been able to feel informed. My father and I have met each month with Julie his Case Manager, and we find her to be most respectful and responsive to my father and his needs, and also to my needs as the family contact. I particularly appreciate the professionalism of Julie his Case Manager to check in with, and to assist us in navigating the changes and transitions as they unfold.
