Uniting AgeWell Aldersgate Village Independent Living Units

Uniting AgeWell – Aldersgate Village provides a tight-knit and welcoming community for retirees, all located in the beautiful suburb of Newnham that overlooks the Tamar River and the city.

We offer two and three-bedroom units that feature a garage, with off-street parking for our one-bedroom units. In total we have 41 units, 21 independent living units and 20 social housing units. We provide options for singles and couples.

Independent living is about letting go of the burden of maintaining a large home, while also still creating your own space and keeping your independence. A lot of our residents enjoy doing their own cooking and making their space a home, but get to enjoy leaving the more burdensome tasks of house maintenance behind when they join a retirement village.

At a retirement village, you’re free to come and go whenever you like, build a community with the local residents as well as entertain your family and friends whenever you please.

Uniting AgeWell – Aldersgate Village is located next to Aldersgate Aged Care, where residents are welcome to join in with any of the regular social activities such as planned shopping trips, excursions and social activities. There’s also the convenience of knowing if you ever require on-going nursing care, you won’t have to move far or leave our community. There are also Home Care Packages available.
We offer affordable rental options, that are payable on a fortnightly basis.
