Uniting AgeWell – Ningana provides a welcoming and close-knit community for retirees, located in the beautiful suburb of Sorell just 30 minutes from the Hobart city.

The retirement village features a community hall, on-site hairdresser and dining room. Meals are also available through the residential aged care site nearby.

Our retirement village has 12 one-bedroom independent living units available, with affordable rental options payable on a fortnightly basis.

We also have a 24-hour emergency call system for your peace of mind and security, as well as on-site nursing and resident transport.

We are close to nearby public transport access, making it easy to get around the area.

We are conveniently located close to the local commercial streets, where you’ll find the major supermarkets such as Coles and Woolworths as well as a number of amenities and services. There’s petrol stations, banks, ATMs, community centres, post offices and newsagents. There’s also plenty of amenity such as cafes, churches, restaurants, gyms and hair salons.

Not far away is the Orielton Lagoon, which offers lovely views of the local bay – for a bit of calming, water views.  

Our residential aged care facility, Uniting AgeWell – Ningana is a 72-bed aged care home. The residents at the Uniting AgeWell – Ningana retirement village are more than welcome to join the regular social activities that are organised by the residential aged care site.

Being close to a residential aged care facility also offers more nursing care and the comfort of knowing that if one day you require residential aged care, you won’t have to leave your community.
